The Oregon Christian Home Education Network (OCEANetwork)
The Oregon Christian Home Education Network (OCEANetwork)is a group of home educating families who volunteer their time to support homeschool families all over Oregon and SW Washington with workshops, conferences and written encouragement. One of their goals is to protect the rights of families to home educate without government interference. They do this by monitoring legislative and congressional actions that may jeopardize those rights.
Summary of Homeschool Law
Each family who decides to homeschool is responsible to know the homeschool law. The law is not difficult, but if you don't follow it, your child could be considered truant and you would be in violation of the compulsory attendance law. OCEANetwork believes that the parent, not government, has the responsibility to educate children.
